Turning Team Spirit Into Travel

The Utah Jazz partnered with Travelpass, a travel booking platform, to launch a campaign centered around the NBA All-Star Game. With a shared audience of loyal Jazz fans and experience-seeking travelers, the collaboration offered a high-stakes prize: a trip for two to San Francisco to attend the NBA All-Star Game.

Challenge

Create a fan-driven campaign that increased awareness of Travelpass, collected user-generated content, and drove high-volume traffic to the campaign landing page.

Goal

Encourage Utah Jazz fans to engage with Travelpass through a photo and video contest, while positioning Travelpass as a brand that rewards passion and community.

Solution

Using Gigg’s Enagement Engine, Utah Jazz + Travelpass launched the All-Star Fan Contest, inviting fans to submit a photo or video showing what made them the ultimate Jazz fan. Submissions ranged from jersey collections and autographs to favorite game memories. The prize included airfare, hotel accommodations, and two tickets to the 2024 NBA All-Star Game in San Francisco. The campaign lived on a Gigg-powered landing page, with traffic driven from Instagram, email, in-arena promotion and other social platforms.
