CLOSE ENCOUNTERS FOR THE ALIEN-LOVING KIND
Skinwalker Ranch, located in Vernal, Utah is one of the most infamous sites for paranormal activity. Covering approximately 512 acres, it became widely known in the 1990s for reports of UFO sightings, cattle mutilations, strange lights, and encounters with mysterious creatures. In 2016, Brandon Fugal, a prominent businessman in the western United States, bought the property in order to investigate and study the strange and unexplained phenomena. Since then, he and the rest of his team members have filmed five seasons of The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch. It has been the top show on the History channel year after year, enchanting people with the mysterious aura and rapt.
Challenge
Skinwalker Ranch had an online forum for fans but it was jumbled, disorganized and hard to sort through. The Skinwalker team had no way to financially capitalize on the exclusive content produced at the Ranch andh how to offer it to their thousands of fans (like the live cameras that run 24/7). Skinwalker Ranch needed a better digital space where their team members and fans can come together to share their bonds over paranormal activity.
Goal
Create an online community where all types of paranormal fanatics can come together to share their thoughts on Skinwalker Ranch, see exclusive content of the Ranch and connect with new alien-lovers. The community must be easy to navigate and user-friendly—and ultimately increase the subscriber-based revenue.
Solution
Gigg created an interactive online community dedicated to Skinwalker Ranch enthusiasts, built with a clean, organized interface designed for easy navigation. The site features a layout for group discussions, team insights, exclusive footage of the Ranch, and paranormal theories. There is a tiered subscription model offered to enhance monetization. A dedicated mobile app was also developed to further streamline access, ensuring fans can stay connected with the latest paranormal updates wherever they go. In addition, the Gigg team also manages the social media accounts for Skinwalker Ranch helping spread the paramormal word to thousands of other enthusiasts.
