Section 1194.21 Software Applications and Operating Systems

(a) When software is designed to run on a system that has a keyboard, product functions shall be executable from a keyboard where the function itself or the result of performing a function can be discerned textually.

Section 1194.22 Web-based Intranet and Internet Information and Applications

Section 1194.23 Telecommunications Products

Section 1194.31 Functional Performance criterion

Most of Gigg’s core functionality is keyboard accessible and can be performed with assistive technology for people who are blind. There are, however, a few parts of the UI that cannot be used by assistive technology users. For example:
  • Opening a post and accessing the post menus in the drawer.
  • In Competitions, the tabbing can get stuck when selecting dates in the Stages setup tab.
(b) At least one mode of operation and information retrieval that does not require visual acuity greater than 20/70 shall be provided in audio and enlarged print output working together or independently, or support for Assistive Technology used by people who are visually impaired shall be provided.

Zooming to certain levels will cause info on the screen to be pushed off and require horizontal scrolling. This is particularly impactful when accessing Gigg web on mobile devices.
For each of the Gigg offerings covered by this VPAT, there is insufficient color contrast on a number of links, dialogs and controls.

Some social media posts contain videos that do not have text or close captioning for those video posts.  The captions for the posts, however, do not require auditory feedback.
